Welcoming a sweet baby into the world is so special. While Newborns can be chaotic, lifestyle newborn sessions are not. Mom, Brooke, chose a in-studio option in Roseville, CA. The gorgeous natural light was perfect to capture their family. We ended their session with posed-newborn photos that are taken on my travel bean-bag.

Sweet Parkers photoshoot took place in-home in his adorable mountain-themed Nursery. The lighting was beautiful and his simple room was the perfect place for photos to be taken. During his lifestyle shoot, he slept peacefully the entire time all cozied up in my photography swaddle that I bring to every session. His Mom and Dad loved snuggling up on him and having these photos that they will treasure for a lifetime.

The LIFESTYLE Newborn Experience
There is nothing quite like holding your precious Newborn baby and embracing the pure innocence and beauty that they are. Lifestyle newborn sessions are a time to capture the beauty of your newly grown family.
Throughout your newborn session, I will always gently guide you into flattering poses and give you prompts that will help show off poses and candid like images.
I have a swaddling technique that is highly guaranteed to make your baby feel snuggled and calm throughout your session so that we can capture those sweet, happy moments.
I can assure that you will always feel calm, safe, and happy throughout your newborn session. We will create memories and images that will last a lifetime.

Hi! First of all, congratulations on your soon to be birth of your precious baby (or babies!) I always recommend that you book your Newborn session about 3 months prior to your due date, however, if you are like me and waiting until last minute..still inquire as I may have dates available.
Newborn sessions ideally take place between 5-14 days of birth (This can be flexible if you have given birth early). If they are older, that is ok too! We will just get more awake images vs sleepy.

1. Say Hello
Let's pick a date! Since newborn sessions can be very unpredictable due to not knowing when your baby will be born..I will use your due date as a place holder. As soon as your baby is born I will ask that you promptly reach out to me so that we can schedule your official photoshoot date. Sessions take place around 9:30am to allow for the best lighting.
2. Schedule it
Planning your Newborn session is so exciting! The first decision will be if your session will take place in your home or in studio. For in-home sessions you ideally will need a space that is open, has nice windows, and is more light and bright. Generally this will be a master bedroom or baby's nursery. If. you don't feel like your home is the best place for images, I have a studio open in Roseville, CA (additional fees will apply). If you browse over to Baby Emmalyn's photoshoot, this is an example of the studio.
I will guide you on styling your family. I also am building a client closet for Mama's that you are welcome to use for your session!
3. Planning it
Yay, your session is here! Newborn sessions generally begin around 9:30am as this is when the light is the best and baby is the happiest. As soon as I arrive, I will of course sanitize my hands.
Mama may need some time to finish getting ready or feed baby, so during this time I will begin taking photos of your nursery (if you have one).
I will then start by swaddling baby and making sure he/she is sleepy and content.
After that I will guide you through a series of family poses, solo parent/baby photos, sibling photos, and end with solo baby photos.
By the end of the session baby is generally ready to wake up and eat, so I will always capture those sweet stretching and awake images.
4. Your Session
Within 5 days of your session you will receive a proofing gallery full of all of the best images from your session. Once you are done wiping your tears after seeing how beautiful your family is, you will select the images that are in the collection of your choice. Once you have selected your images, I will complete my editing process and have them delivered back to you within one week.
5. Your Photographs

Newborn sessions are on average 90 minutes long, to take in account for feeding, changing, and swaddling time. These sessions will either take place in your home or in Studio in Roseville, CA (Studio fees apply).
Swaddles, headbands and baby bonnets will be included and Mama will also have access to my client closet.
